Episode 81 : The Money Shift That Helped Me Grow My Coaching Business - Solo Episode

The Money Shift That Helped Me Grow My Coaching Business

If you're a coach building an online business and finding it hard to sign your first or consistent clients, you’re not alone. One of the biggest blocks many coaches face isn’t strategy—it’s mindset. And more specifically, it’s our money mindset.

In this post (based on Episode 81 of the Business Bravery Podcast), I’m sharing the money shift that helped me grow my coaching business and start signing more clients with confidence.

The Moment Everything Changed in My Coaching Business

Before I went full-time in my coaching business, I had a secure part-time job. I liked knowing when money was coming in. But once I stepped into full-time entrepreneurship, my mindset around money got shaky—fast.

I found myself avoiding my bank account, getting anxious about income goals, and hesitating to make offers. Sound familiar? This isn’t just about numbers. It’s about how we feel about money—and how that impacts the way we show up in business.

Why Your Money Mindset Matters

Your money mindset is the set of beliefs and feelings you have about money. For coaches and service-based entrepreneurs, this can make or break your ability to sign high-ticket clients, set strong boundaries, and confidently grow your business.

I realized that the pressure I felt was activating old fears and perfectionist patterns. That nervous system response made it hard to be visible, sell my services, or connect with new clients. The more I stressed about money, the harder it became to make money.

The Money Mindset Shift That Changed Everything

Once I understood what was happening, I got curious. I started using money journaling prompts to dig deeper and shift my beliefs. I asked questions like:

  • What do I believe about money and worthiness?

  • Where did those beliefs come from?

  • What would I like to believe instead?

I created new affirmations like:
“I am safe and worthy, no matter my bank balance.”
And honestly? That simple mindset shift changed how I felt in my business.

Make Money Tasks Feel Like a Spa Day

Another thing that helped me shift my energy: changing how I approach money tasks.

Instead of dreading finances, I started treating them like self-care. I’d light a candle, play music, and look at my numbers with curiosity and compassion—not fear. I turned it into a spa-like ritual that helped me feel grounded and empowered.

When you make money feel less scary and more supportive, you stop avoiding it—and start using it as a tool to grow your business.

Coaches: Ready to Grow Your Business with More Ease?
